Who we are

UniverseBlend.blog is an independent publication covering AI infrastructure, security and governance, operated by Idrees Patel from India.

For any question about this policy or about data we hold, contact universe@universeblend.blog.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect information when you visit or interact with this website. By using UniverseBlend, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Information we collect

Information you provide. Name, email address, or other details you submit — for example when you subscribe to the newsletter, leave a comment, use a contact form, or email us.

Technical and usage information. Technical information needed to operate and protect the website may include browser and device information, IP addresses, referrer URLs and pages requested. Analytics services, if enabled in future, will be described in this policy before they collect additional usage information.

Cookies and similar technologies. Data from cookies, pixels and comparable tools, as described below.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories of data such as health or biometric information through this site. Please do not send us such information. If you contact us about a professional or regulatory matter, please do not include confidential, privileged or commercially sensitive material — this is a publication, not a secure channel, and we cannot offer confidentiality protections.

How we use your information

  • Operate, maintain and improve UniverseBlend.blog and its content
  • Understand and improve the site through technical, performance and security information
  • Send the newsletter to people who signed up, with unsubscribe available in every email
  • Respond to questions, comments, corrections and support requests
  • Comply with law, respond to lawful requests, and protect our rights, our readers and the public

Cookies

Cookies and similar technologies may be used to remember preferences and support features you choose, such as saving comment details. Advertising cookies are not currently used to serve ads on this site. Any future non-essential analytics or advertising technologies will be described in this policy before they are enabled.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may limit certain features. Where required by law, we will seek consent before setting non-essential cookies.

Advertising

This site does not currently display advertising. If advertising is introduced, this policy will be updated before advertising cookies or similar tracking are used.

If Google AdSense is introduced in future, Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on prior visits to this site or other sites. Those uses and the applicable choices will be described before the advertising integration is enabled.

If advertising is enabled in future, third-party vendors may place or read cookies or use web beacons in connection with ad serving. These are not current advertising activities on this site.

Third-party advertising preference controls: The following providers offer controls for their own services. Linking to these controls does not mean that advertising is active on this site.

Google’s advertising practices are described at Google Privacy & Terms.

Where required by law, we will seek consent before setting non-essential advertising cookies.

Comments

When you leave a comment on this site, we collect the name and email address you enter, your IP address, and your browser user agent string.

The name and comment text are displayed publicly. The email address and IP address are not displayed.

Comment data is used to display the comment, detect spam, and contact you about your comment where necessary. An anonymised hash of your email address may be sent to the Gravatar service to display a profile image; Gravatar’s privacy policy is at automattic.com/privacy.

Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely so that follow-up replies remain readable in context. You can request deletion of your comments and associated data at any time using the contact address above.

Third-party services

The following services support the current website and newsletter functions:

ServicePurpose
HostingerWeb hosting and content delivery; server logs including IP addresses
Hostinger ReachEmbedded homepage newsletter signup, subscriber/contact management and newsletter campaign tools

Hostinger Reach processes homepage newsletter signups. The embedded form sends your email address directly to Reach and records your subscription status and form source. The signup form collects only your email address; it does not ask for your name, Birthday or phone number. Signup currently uses single opt-in: no confirmation email or automatic welcome email is sent. You can contact the site administrator at the address above about your subscription or request deletion, and use the unsubscribe link in any newsletter you receive.

The embedded Reach form loads provider scripts and records form views and submissions. It uses browser local storage to avoid counting repeated views within a short period. The hosted form also loads Cloudflare Web Analytics. These newsletter-form technologies are separate from the WPForms contact-form workflow described below. Reach campaign open/click reporting is configured, but no newsletter sending automation is enabled for this integration.

Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy, and we encourage you to review them. Providers acting on our behalf do so under contractual terms and are expected to use information only to provide their services to us.

This site also links to third-party websites and tools. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information for money.

We share information with service providers when needed to run the website and newsletter, as described above. If advertising or analytics services that share identifiers with third parties are introduced, this policy will be updated to describe those practices and any applicable choices before those services are enabled.

We may also share information:

  • With service providers who help us run the site, under confidentiality and processing commitments
  • To comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect rights, safety and security
  • In connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition, with notice where required

Data retention

DataRetention
Homepage newsletter subscriptions (Hostinger Reach)You can unsubscribe using the newsletter link or request deletion through the site administrator. A fixed retention period or automatic deletion schedule is not established here.
Reach campaign contactsUnsubscribing excludes the contact from future campaigns. Deleted contacts are anonymized; aggregate campaign insights remain.
Contact emailsUntil the notification email is deleted and its trash is emptied; no automatic deletion or fixed retention period is established
Comments and metadataIndefinitely, unless you request removal
Server logsPer our hosting provider’s standard retention period

Contact forms use WPForms Lite to send a notification to the site administrator’s email inbox. This workflow does not use a WordPress database entry-retention system. Messages remain in notification email until that email is deleted and its trash is emptied; no automatic deletion is currently established. Other provider retention details not specified here are UNKNOWN.

Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, including HTTPS across the site.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International visitors

This site is operated from India. If you access it from elsewhere, your information may be processed in India or in other countries where our service providers operate, which may have different data protection laws from your own.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete certain information, subject to exceptions
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
  • Opt out of marketing emails, using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us
  • Opt out of personalised advertising, using the controls in the Advertising section

The site administrator handles access and deletion requests. Email the contact address above to make a request. You can unsubscribe from campaigns using the unsubscribe link; unsubscribed contacts are excluded from future campaigns. For Reach contacts, deletion anonymizes the contact while aggregate campaign insights remain.

EEA and UK (GDPR / UK GDPR). Where this policy applies to you, we process personal data on a lawful basis — consent, contract, legitimate interests, or legal obligation, depending on the processing. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Material changes will be described briefly at the top of the page for a reasonable period.

Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy, to the extent allowed by law.
